PROJECT
This semester is a little different then last one. Instead of us being given a brief to follow for a number of weeks we were given free reign to come up with a project and title of our choice. I liked the sound of that because that meant I finally had the chance to do a project that I really enjoyed.
We are given 6 weeks to complete this project. I was put in the silkscreen group which I was very pleased with as it one of the processes I enjoy the most. Because we are doing "photo" silkscreen I am basing my project on my photographs and then producing them through printing.
MY PROJECT PLAN
For my project I have decided to do something that was personal to me, a project that meant something to me and would one day have sentimental value to myself and even my family. My project is going to be on my grandparents Max and Eileen. I have a very close relationship with them. Proberly because I was their first grandchild, or maybe because I just enjoy their company.. Whatever it is I am lucky to have grandparent like them.
My plan for this project is to take black and white photographs of my grandparents. Close up's and snap shots of their faces, hands, doing their everyday things like my nanny making her brown bread, my granddad getting the turf, them both watching football on the tv etc.... I am then going to turn those photographs into black and white prints.
