Here is the original images of my drawing project. My idea was to draw on top of fashion magazine covers bringing a fun, pop edge to what's known as a serious fashion magazine.
These images then got cut up and made into a college on advice from a college tutor. I was not as happy with the cut up images as I felt it did not portray my idea correctly. Getting someone else's opion can be very helpful at times and feedback is important but sometimes you do what you think is right. At the end of the day art can be trial and error. Art does not always have to be "weird and different" in order to convey a message? It can be fun and colourful and in your own style. Isn't that the point of going to art college? Become your own artist! We don't want to go off into the world after 4 years of art college and all be clones of each other. I want my work to reflect me.
